Fees
We have a simple, standard fee structure for all clients. We do not differentiate between proofreading and 'substantive editing' or 'rewriting'; ALL documents are revised to the same high standards.

We offer a discount of 50% when we check a document previously edited by Textcheck for a second time, such as after review by a journal, provided that no more than 50% of the text has been changed. This discount does not apply if the text is rewritten for submission to a different journal.

All payments are due in US dollars.

If sending a short document, please note that there is a minimum fee of $US20.00.

Payment is due when your document has been completed to your satisfaction.**

If paying from research funds, please initiate the payment process as soon as our service is completed.


* The number of words is the wordcount of the original document in MS Word (see Tools > Wordcount). The wordcount of the reference section of manuscripts is reduced by 50%. Numbers in tables are not included in the wordcount.

** Textcheck may request a 50% payment in advance for long manuscripts from new clients. To avoid this, please provide an official e-mail address and a recommendation from an existing Textcheck client if possible.
